Youssoupha

Youssoupha Mabiki, known mononymously as Youssoupha, is a French-Congolese rapper and songwriter born in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo. The son of legendary Congolese rumba pioneer Tabu Ley Rochereau, he moved to France at age ten and later graduated from the Sorbonne Nouvelle University. Renowned for his intelligent, conscious lyrics addressing social justice, racism, and the immigrant experience, he rose to prominence with his gold-certified debut album À chaque frère (2007) and has since released critically acclaimed projects like Noir désir (2012) and NGRTD (2015).
