WARREN WOLF and hr-Bigband

Warren Wolf, a Baltimore-born jazz vibraphonist and multi-instrumentalist, is celebrated for his sophisticated post-bop style. A classically trained musician, he is known for his work with Christian McBride & "Inside Straight" and the SFJAZZ Collective. Notable albums include "Life" (2025) and "Smoove Vibes" (2026). He received the JJA Awards Mallet Man of the Year in 2015 and 2017. He also teaches at Peabody and SFCM.

The hr-Bigband, originating in Germany in 1946, is a renowned jazz and big band ensemble, also exploring pop, classical, and world music. Known for its versatile style and collaborations with artists like John Scofield and Billy Cobham, the band has released notable recordings such as "Turning Point" and "Out of the Desert Live at Jazzfest Berlin," which earned an Echo Jazz award.
