Renowned for innovative sampling and eclectic style blending funk, jazz, and psychedelia, he helped define alternative hip-hop. De La Soul's classic albums include "3 Feet High and Rising," featuring popular tracks like "Me Myself and I." Mason earned a Grammy for his work with Gorillaz on "Feel Good Inc."
