Sonata Arctica, Finnish power metal icons since 1995, blend Nordic nature's beauty with epic melodies. Known for 10 albums and extensive tours, their latest release is "Clear Cold Beyond". They've explored acoustic versions but remain rooted in powerful metal, led by frontman Tony Kakko.
British glam rock renegades The Wildhearts, founded by Ginger in London 1990, dazzled with chaotic brilliance. Known for hits like "Earth vs. the Wildhearts," they faced constant turmoil, peaking with P.H.U.Q. (UK No. 6). Fiery live performances & tumultuous antics colored their storied career, culminating in multiple break-ups and reunions.
John Lindberg, a Swedish rockabilly artist, started singing at 13. His John Lindberg Trio, later rebranded as JLT, saw success with albums topping Swedish charts, including "Brand New Philosophy" and "Made for Rock N Roll." Known for blending rockabilly with alternative rock, they achieved commercial success under labels like Cosmos and Enviken.
ASOMVEL, a hard rock band from the U.K., are known for their excessive volume and thrilling stage shows. As a solo artist, he formed the Michael Schenker Group (MSG) in the late '70s, releasing acclaimed albums for decades. Schenker influenced bands like Metallica and Def Leppard. He collaborated with musicians from Scorpions, UFO, and guest artists like Joe Lynn Turner. Despite lineup changes and personal challenges, Schenker remains a pivotal figure in melodic hard rock.
Battle Beast, from Helsinki, are known for energetic shows, catchy choruses, and humor. Their 6th album "Circus of Doom" topped Finnish charts and hit #9 in Germany. With Noora Louhimo’s powerful vocals, the band won Metal Album of the Year for “Bringer of Pain” and “No More Hollywood Endings” at the Emma Gaala.
Myrath, a Tunisian metal band from Ezzahra, blends Middle Eastern sounds with power metal and prog rock. Formed in 2001, known for albums like "Hope," "Desert Call," and "Legacy."
Scandinavian alt-rock band Smash Into Pieces blends rock, electro, and pop in their SmashSound. Known for hits like "Six Feet Under," they achieved 3rd in Swedish Eurovision.
Sweden's MAJESTICA is known for symphonic power metal with hits like "Above The Sky" and a unique metal Christmas album, drawing from RHAPSODY and film scores.
Y&T, born in Oakland, California, are SF Bay Area hard rock pioneers. Known for hits "Summertime Girls," "Forever," and "Mean Streak," they've sold over 4 million albums, won 2 Bammie Awards, and supported bands like Metallica. Their energetic live shows feature original frontman Dave Meniketti.
