Born from New York's vibrant music scene, Say She She fuses post-disco with soul. Known for their live analog recordings, they've graced stages from Glastonbury to Central Park, collaborated with Thee Sacred Souls, and consistently top radio charts.
Five-time Grammy winner Angélique Kidjo from Benin blends West African music with R&B, funk, and jazz. Dubbed "Africa's premier diva" by Time, she advocates for children as a UNICEF Ambassador and founded the Batonga Foundation for girls' education in Africa.
Born in New Orleans, Cyril Neville, the youngest of the Neville Brothers, is known for his work in funk and reggae. Joined Meters' vocals, toured with Rolling Stones, and co-founded Neville Brothers. Founded New Orleans Musicians Organized, released solo albums, and collaborated with Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, and Dr. John.
Trumpeter Takuya Kuroda, born in Kobe, Japan, is known for his inventive blend of post-bop, soul-jazz, and hip-hop. Leo Nocentelli, born in New Orleans, is a founding member of the Meters, known for their pioneering funk. Collaborated with legends like Stevie Wonder and Etta James, and his work appears on soundtracks like White Men Can't Jump. His lost 1971 solo album "Another Side," featuring Meters members, was released in 2021.
Founded in 1998 in Brooklyn, Antibalas is hailed as a top Afrobeat band by The Guardian. Known for their energetic performances and collaborations with music legends, they’ve toured globally and played major festivals.
