Kaonashi, a Philadelphia-based progressive metalcore, mathcore, and post-hardcore band formed in 2012, is known for its emotionally intense, genre-blending sound and unique, often polarizing vocals. Their music explores themes of personal struggle through a fictional narrative. Notable releases include "I Want To Go Home" (2025), "Dear Lemon House, You Ruined Me: Senior Year" (2021), and EPs like "The 3 Faces of Beauty" (2024). They have collaborated with artists such as Anthony Green.

Bob Mould, key figure in rock with Hüsker Dü, formed Sugar in 1991. Known for melodic, powerful rock hits like “If I Can’t Change Your Mind,” their album Copper Blue won NME’s 1992 Album of the Year. Sugar’s intense, guitar-driven style earned UK top 10 spots and lasting acclaim.
