Momma, formed by Allegra Weingarten and Etta Friedman, hails from LA. Their evocative sound, enriched by Aron Kobayashi Ritch and Preston Fulks, explores love's nuances.
Glixen, a Phoenix shoegaze band, blends influences like Björk and My Bloody Valentine. Founded in 2020 by Aislinn Ritchie, they’ve toured with Interpol and DIIV. Their EP, "She Only Said," gained national attention. Produced by Jack Endino and Sonny DiPerri, they capture a modern, intense sound.
Seattle's Sunny Day Real Estate, formed in 1992, emerged distinctly from the grunge era with Jeremy Enigk's unique vocals and melodic tunes. Known for albums like "Diary" and "LP2," they experienced breakups and reunions, with members joining Foo Fighters and releasing ambitious projects like Enigk's "Return of the Frog Queen." Their 1998 reunion album, "How It Feels to Be Something On," earned acclaim, followed by "The Rising Tide." Despite disbanding in 2001, they briefly reunited in 2009-2010, with "Lipton Witch" released in 2014.
Scranton-based band Tigers Jaw blends catchy melodies with harmonious vocals, gaining fame with tracks that mirror Fleetwood Mac and Saves the Day influences.
From Dortmund, Germany, heavy metal band Angel Dust, founded in the '80s, transitioned from thrash to British power metal. Known for hits like "Bleed" and significant albums including "Into the Dark Past," they revived in 1998 under Century Media, toured extensively, and garnered a dedicated fanbase. Collaborations in the band include Dirk Thurisch and Bernd Aufermann.
Washington D.C.'s Glitterer, initially a solo project by Ned Russin, evolved into a four-member band known for loud, melodic post-hardcore rock. Started post-Title Fight in 2017, the band's complex yet catchy sound spans four records, including two full-length albums on Anti-.
Sheer Mag blends refined rock and ecstatic songwriting, recognized for their unique sound and massive hooks. Known for hits like "Playing Favorites," the band has evolved from punk spaces to major venues, emphasizing catchy rock anthems.
Teen Suicide, from Orlando, blends experimental sludge metal, indie pop, and more. Known for their diverse sound, they consist of Sam and Kitty Ray, also part of The Pom-Poms and solo acts Kitty Ray/Ricky Eat Acid. Their music, ranging from lo-fi to catchy heavy tracks, is released on Run for Cover Records.
