Louisiana-born blues guitarist and vocalist D.K. Harrell is known for his soulful voice, stinging guitar, original songs, Blues Music Award, and dynamic live shows worldwide.
Formed 2014 by husband-wife duo Michael & Tanya Trotter, The War And Treaty blend soul, Americana & country; known for “Blank Page.” Grammy-nominated, AMA Duo/Group winners; collabed with Zach Bryan (“Hey Driver”), toured worldwide, opened for Al Green, Brandi Carlile, Chris Stapleton, John Legend & Van Morrison.
NYC hip-hop trio De La Soul (Posdnuos, Dave, Maseo) broke through with 3 Feet High and Rising (1989) w/ Prince Paul; known for inventive classics; Grammy-nominated 2016.
Bronx-born jazz vocalist Samara Joy, raised on R&B and church gospel; SUNY Purchase alum, 2019 Sarah Vaughan winner; Verve’s Linger Awhile; NAACP Image Award; worked with Brian Lynch.
US-born, UK-based Shawn Lee and Brit-soul’s Andy Platts (Mamas Gun) form Young Gun Silver Fox: ’70s West Coast pop-soul; debut West End Coast; worked w/ Hannah Williams, Joel Culpepper; Platts co-wrote w/ Rod Temperton & Brian Jackson.
Frankie Beverly, born in Philadelphia, pioneered Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, an influential R&B band known for its soulful sound and live shows. Inspired by Marvin Gaye, Beverly crafted hits like "Happy Feelin's" and "Back in Stride." Maze, popular in the '70s and '80s, earned several gold albums despite limited pop hits. Beverly's bands evolved from Philadelphia's Raw Soul to Maze in the San Francisco Bay Area, with Marvin Gaye facilitating their Capitol Records contract. Despite few '90s hits, Maze's live performances maintained a loyal fan base. Beverly passed away on September 10, 2024.
