Sam Carter

Sam Carter is a British folk singer-songwriter and guitarist originally from the English Midlands and based in Sheffield. Renowned as one of his generation's finest fingerpicking acoustic guitarists, he won the Horizon award for best newcomer at the 2010 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. His narrative-rich songwriting blends traditional English folk with American shape-note singing and rock influences, showcased across solo albums like Keepsakes, The No Testament, and Silver Horizon, as well as his work with the folk-rock band False Lights.
