RX Bandits, from Orange County's ska-punk scene, evolved with progressive sounds led by Matt Embree's vocals and guitar. Known for hits like "Progress" and "Resignation," they've toured with Goldfinger and Reel Big Fish. Collaborating with Steve Choi, Joseph Troy, and more, they've shifted towards reggae and post-hardcore, overcoming lineup changes. On hiatus in 2011, they returned with "Gemini, Her Majesty" in 2014.

Midwest indie band Maps & Atlases blend rock, folk, and experimental styles, similar to Fleet Foxes and Alt-J. Formed in 2004 in Chicago, their debut EP "Tree, Swallows, Houses" dropped in 2007. Known for "Solid Ground" and "Pigeon," they evolved from math rock to pop with albums like 2018's "Lightlessness Is Nothing New." Founding guitarist Erin Elders left for Wedding Dress, while other members explored solo projects and collaborations.
