Beenie Man, born in Jamaica, is a Grammy-winning dancehall icon known as the "King of the Dancehall." With hits spanning the 90s and 2000s, he has collaborated with stars like Janet Jackson and Nicki Minaj. A three-time Grammy nominee and two-time MOBO winner, he's recognized for his prolific style, topping charts and earning global acclaim. Also an actor and producer, Beenie Man is celebrated for his high-energy performances and influence on the genre.
Born in Kingston, reggae artist Serani, real name Craig Marsh, co-founded Daseca in 2001, producing hits like Sean Paul's "We Be Burnin'." Solo since 2008, known for "Doh," "No Games," & collaborations with Elephant Man and Tony Matterhorn.
Spice, the Queen of Dancehall from Jamaica, is celebrated worldwide for her dynamic style and cultural impact. Rising to fame with "Fight Over Man," she has collaborated with stars like Nicki Minaj and Sean Paul. Influencing artists including Cardi B, her debut album "10" earned a Grammy nod for Best Reggae Album in 2021, marking a historic achievement.
Jamaican dancehall singer Vanessa Bling, also known as Gaza Slim, rose to fame collaborating with Vybz Kartel. Her 2012 hit "Everything Fi Hold Him" gained renewed attention when Cardi B featured it on Instagram. After legal issues with Kartel, Bling returned with the 2018 EP "Still Standing." Known for tracks like "Can't Do Without Me" and "Realest Girl."
Dancehall star Elephant Man (O'Neil Bryan), born in Kingston, Jamaica, is famed for hits like "Pon di River, Pon di Bank." His energetic style led to collaborations with Mariah Carey, Busta Rhymes, and Major Lazer. Known for his vibrant stage presence and popular tracks like "Log On" and "Nuh Linga," he achieved success with albums such as "Good 2 Go" and "Let's Get Physical."
David Constantine Brooks, aka Mavado, is a Jamaican Dancehall artist from Kingston. Mentored by Bounty Killer, he debuted with "Real McKoy" and released "Gangsta for Life" in 2007.
