Nine Inch Nails

Trent Reznor, born in New Castle, Pennsylvania, brought industrial rock to the forefront in the '90s with Nine Inch Nails, scoring hits like "Head Like a Hole," "Closer," and "Hurt." Known for their dark, atmospheric style, NIN's albums, *The Downward Spiral* and *The Fragile*, topped charts. The band won two Grammy Awards for "Wish" and "Happiness in Slavery." Collaborating with Atticus Ross, Reznor expanded into film scoring and electronic sounds, winning an Oscar for *The Social Network*. NIN was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2020.
