Grupo Niche, una icónica orquesta de salsa colombiana, se formó en Bogotá en 1979 por Jairo Varela. Destacados por éxitos como “Una Aventura” y “Cali Ají,” su estilo impactó América Latina. Varela falleció en 2012, pero su legado sigue vivo. Ganadores de premios Grammy en 2020, son reconocidos internacionalmente.
Willie Colón, born in NYC, is a legendary Latin artist known for his hard-edged trombone style. Famous for salsa hits, he's a masterful producer likened to Quincy Jones.
Tony Vega, born in Salinas, Puerto Rico, is a salsa singer and evangelical pastor in the U.S. He played conga in his youth and was influenced by Ismael Rivera.
Born in the Dominican Republic, raised in New Jersey, Raul Acosta formed merengue band Oro Solido in 1994. Known for hits like "La Tanga" & "El Vacilón," featured in the movie Shaft. Oro Solido blended Puerto Rican & Dominican talents, igniting the late '90s Latin music scene in the U.S.
