Neko Case and Des Demonas

Des Demonas, hailing from Washington, D.C., blend indie rock, garage punk, and Afrobeat with streetwise, political lyrics. Known for their self-titled debut in 2017, they feature Jacky Cougar Abok, who was born in Kenya, on vocals. Collaborators include Mark Cisneros, Paul Vivari, and Matt Gatwood. Their music is powered by veterans of D.C.'s underground scene, and they've worked with J. Robbins on their second LP, "Apocalyptic Boom! Boom!" released in 2024 by In the Red Records.
