Sage Gabriel Carlos Atreyu Elsesser, known professionally as Navy Blue, is an American rapper, record producer, skateboarder, visual artist, and model born in Los Angeles, California. He began releasing music on SoundCloud in 2015, carving out a niche in the underground alternative hip-hop scene with introspective lyrics and jazzy, self-produced beats while frequently collaborating with artists like Earl Sweatshirt, MIKE, and Wiki. In 2020, he founded his independent record label, Freedom Sounds, with the release of his debut studio album, Ada Irin, which has been followed by prolific releases including Song of Sage: Post Panic!, Ways of Knowing, and Memoirs in Armour.
