Krisiun, a Brazilian extreme metal trio from Porto Alegre, known for savage lyrics and punishing riffs, emerged in the 1990s. Influenced by Slayer, they gained fame with albums like Apocalyptic Revelation and Conquerors of Armageddon. The band, formed by brothers Alex Camargo and Moyses and Max Kolesne, signed with Century Media, toured globally with acts like Vader, and charted in Europe with Scourge of the Enthroned. They collaborated with producer Mark Lewis for Mortem Solis in 2022.

Fargo-based Death Metal band Gorgatron, known for intense riffs and old-school style, similar to Suffocation & Slayer. Albums include "Pathogenic Automation". Toured widely, shared stages with Anthrax, Testament, and more.
