Originally a Swedish progressive rock band named Force, Europe gained fame with pop-metal hits like "The Final Countdown." Key members include Joey Tempest and John Norum. Erja Lyytinen, born in Finland, is a leading blues-rock guitarist known for her slide guitar. She has released 12 studio albums and is inspired by blues legends. Her 2022 album "Waiting for the Daylight" hit #3 in Finland. "Bad Seed" was named 13th Best Rock Song by Classic Rock Magazine, and its solo was 10th in Guitar World's 2022 poll. Awards include Best Guitarist at the 2017 European Blues Awards and the first Finnish nomination at Canada's Maple Blues Awards. Invited to the Presidential Castle on Finland's Independence Day 2022.
