Winnipeg’s Comeback Kid is a punk band known for high-energy performances and albums like Broadcasting (2007) and Die Knowing (2014). Founded in 2002 by members of Figure Four, the band gained traction with Victory Records, releasing the influential hit Wake the Dead. They’ve toured widely with bands like Madball and Gorilla Biscuits and collaborated with producer Bill Stevenson. The lineup has evolved over the years, with Andrew Neufeld on vocals and Stu Ross on guitar, releasing albums like Heavy Steps (2022).
Ontario-based rock trio, The Dirty Nil, acclaimed for thrashy riffs and loud volumes, won a Juno Award. Known for their originality in "Free Rein to Passions", they famously rejected industry norms to produce authentic music.
