Originally a Swedish progressive rock band named Force, Europe gained fame with pop-metal hits like "The Final Countdown." Key members include Joey Tempest and John Norum. The band achieved international success with Top Ten singles in the U.S. and U.K. After evolving style and key lineup changes, they released hits like "Carrie" and "Prisoners in Paradise," before reuniting in 1999.
