Epitaph, formed in Dortmund by Cliff Jackson, gained fame with their progressive rock style featuring twin-guitar harmonies. Known for the album "Outside the Law," they toured the U.S. but faced setbacks when their label went bankrupt. They later pursued a heavier rock sound before disbanding in 1982, with occasional reunions.
