Elliott

Elliott is an influential American emo and post-hardcore band from Louisville, Kentucky, formed in 1995 by vocalist/guitarist Chris Higdon, bassist Jonathan Mobley, and drummer Ben Lord following the dissolution of their previous band, Falling Forward. Known for their emotionally charged sound, dynamic live performances, and intricate use of piano and percussion samples, the group underwent several lineup changes, later including drummer Kevin Ratterman, guitarist Jay Palumbo, guitarist Benny Clark, and bassist Jason Skaggs. Signed to Revelation Records, they released three acclaimed full-length albums—U.S. Songs (1998), False Cathedrals (2000), and Song in the Air (2003)—which left a significant impact on the late 1990s and early 2000s indie and emo scenes before disbanding in 2003.
