King, Bonnie Raitt, Willie Nelson, and Ringo Starr. Also performing as "Whitey Johnson," he's credited with 600+ songs, including "He Won't Ever Be Gone" and "Fallin' and Flyin'." Inducted into the Texas Heritage Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2011.
