LineUp

Founded in 1914 by society women in Detroit, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra overcame many crises. Known for radio broadcasts and high-quality French music under Paul Paray, it faced severe financial issues before rejuvenation in the restored Orchestra Hall under Neeme Järvi and then Leonard Slatkin, continuing its tradition of excellence and innovation.
Branford Marsalis, a jazz saxophonist from Breaux Bridge, LA, merges genres like jazz, classical, funk, and rock. Known for work with Sting and Kurt Elling, he won Grammys for notable albums such as "I Heard You Twice the First Time" and "Contemporary Jazz." Marsalis fronts Marsalis Music and scored films like "Ma Rainey's Black Bottom."
