Formed in 2001 by Cedric Bixler-Zavala and Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, The Mars Volta blended hardcore, prog, psychedelic rock, and avant-jazz. Known for energetic live shows, they've released gold-certified albums like Deloused in the Comatorium, collaborated with Flea and John Frusciante, and won a Grammy. They reunited in 2022 with a new album and an acoustic reimagining in 2023.
