Cashier with Daundry and Smush

Smush (stylized in all lowercase) is a Canadian-founded and Brooklyn-based shoegaze band formed in 2022 in Vancouver, British Columbia, by Emily Borrowman, Atley King, and Jay Christie. Blending intimate indie rock with swirling atmospherics and textured experimentation, the group first emerged from the underground scene with their 2024 debut studio album, if you were here i'd be home now. Their music features ethereal vocals and a combination of heavy shoegaze and dream pop dynamics, drawing lyric inspiration from female singer-songwriters and themes of personal reflection.
