The Waltons are a cowpunk band founded in Berlin, Germany in 1985. Consisting of singer and guitarist John-Boy Walton, bassist Hatto-Jay Walton, and drummer Janni-Boy Walton, the power trio mixes country, punk, and heavy metal to create their signature "cowpunk" sound. Known for their energetic live shows, they released numerous albums through the late 1980s and early 1990s, went on a ten-year hiatus from 1994 to 2004, and subsequently reunited to release new material like their 2005 album The Spirit of Cowpunk and a 2025 Christmas album.
