Brakes

Brakes are an English rock band formed in Brighton in 2003. The quartet consists of vocalist and guitarist Eamon Hamilton, lead guitarist Thomas White, bassist Marc Beatty, and drummer Alex White, who are also associated with other notable indie acts like British Sea Power, The Electric Soft Parade, and The Tenderfoot. Known for their energetic, concise songs and a dynamic live presence that blends garage rock, punk, and alt-country, they released their critically acclaimed debut album, Give Blood, via Rough Trade Records in 2005, followed by subsequent studio releases including The Beatific Visions (2006) and Touchdown (2009).
