Puerto Rican-American singer Lisette Melendez, born in East Harlem, sparked a '90s Latin freestyle revival with hits like "Together Forever". Known for blending club sounds with Latin pop, she has collaborated with producers like Carlos Berrios and won a Grammy in Japan.
Freestyle artist Cynthia, known for hits like “Change on Me,” debuted in 1987. Signed with MicMac, released albums and top tracks including a duet with Johnny O. Later explored club music under Tommy Boy.
Born to sing, Judy Torres is celebrated for her vibrant dance-pop tunes and freestyle music. Known from hits like "No Reason to Cry," she remains a fixture in club scenes, also shining in musical theatre and as a radio host on WKTU.
