Los Lobos, hailing from East L.A., blend rock, blues, and folk with Mexican influences, gaining fame with "La Bamba" in 1987. With albums like "Kiko," they earned critical acclaim. The band collaborated with artists like Mavis Staples and Elvis Costello, consistently exploring new sounds and winning Grammys, remaining a vital force in American music culture.
Born to zydeco legend Clifton Chenier, C.J. Chenier is the "crown prince of zydeco." He leads the Red Hot Louisiana Band, blending traditional zydeco with R&B and jazz. His notable collaborations include playing on Paul Simon's "Rhythm of the Saints" and touring with Simon, as well as guesting on Gin Blossoms' "New Miserable Experience." Chenier was nominated for a W.C. Handy Award and has released albums such as "Too Much Fun" and "Can't Sit Down."
