History of Classical Music

Classical music refers to the formal Western music of or related to European music that existed during the Classical Era, which was the period between 1750 and 1850. It is a form of traditional music that transgresses many generations, changing and evolving along the way. Since Classical music is also derived from the music of earlier periods, it is safe to say that it is also derived from the music of the Medieval era.

Classical music is different from popular music and folk music. It is more formal and is more of an art form of music. It often takes an orchestral form, with a big instrumental ensemble, including the piano. The music is composed through musical notations and frequently features a conductor. It is characterized by complex musical forms and harmonic organization.

An Opera is a common way of delivering classical music, where actors perform in the backdrop of music in a theatre.

If you are a fan of Opera, then you should try the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, where you can enjoy a good show – all in English too.

Also, the Cleveland Orchestra is not to be missed – it is one of the finest orchestras in the US. This Orchestra is more than a century old and can be experienced in Severance Hall, Cleveland.

What Seats are the Best at a Concert

When you want to enjoy some refined and complicated music like classical music, the sound quality is of the utmost importance. Usually, the middle seats have the best sound quality, and therefore they are the most expensive. Classical concerts are generally held in amphitheaters, so the sound quality will be decent wherever you sit.
