Despite mixed reviews and limited US success, they remained influential, capturing the blend of the Stone Roses and Oasis.
Jim Bob, famed for Carter USM, had 14 top 40 singles and headlined Glastonbury. A prolific solo artist with 12 albums, he’s also a writer of 6 novels and 2 memoirs.
Formed in 1986, the Wonder Stuff from Stourbridge, UK, blended guitar pop with folk and Madchester vibes. Known for hits like "The Size of a Cow" and chart-topper "Dizzy" with Vic Reeves, they dominated UK charts, peaking with their album 'Never Loved Elvis.' Disbanded in 1994, they briefly reunited in 2000 and again in 2004, continuing to tour and release new music.
Utah Saints, electronic dance pioneers from Leeds, excel in sampling and house music. With 9 UK Top 40 hits and 2 million records sold, they're famed for tracks like "Something Good" and have earned accolades including a Rolling Stone mention. They also established renowned club nights and have DJ’d with icons from U2 to Public Enemy.
CUD, a British Indie-Pop band from Leeds, blends funk and pop. Formed in 1986, they supported the Pixies and recorded with John Peel. Known for "sexy rhythms."
