The Monochrome Set, formed in London (1978) by Bid and Lester Square, blend '60s pop with surf music. Known for "He's Frank" & "The Jet Set Junta", they excelled in post-punk wit. After disbanding in '85, reunited in '90s, still releasing fresh albums like 2016's Cosmonaut.
