Reidar Larsen, born in Oslo in 1955 and raised in Stavanger, Norway, is a celebrated blues-pianist, vocalist, and composer. Known as the "king of blues piano in Norway," his style is rooted in contemporary blues. Popular songs include "Christina" and "Boogie Woman." His album "Kom inn te oss" (2009) earned him a Spellemannprisen for blues, and he received the Notodden Bluesfestival bluespris in 1994. "Blatoner Fra Bakrommet" (2015) is another notable album. He was also a member of Stavangerensemblet.
