Ohio-based Over the Rhine, formed in '89 by Karin Bergquist and Linford Detweiler, crafts "post-nuclear, pseudo-alternative, folk-tinged art-pop." Known for '92's "Patience" and '94's "Eve," the band blends literary influences, like Dylan Thomas, with their Midwest roots. Collaborated with Joe Henry and Lucinda Williams.
