Jason Terrance Phillips, better known by his stage name Jadakiss, is an American rapper from Yonkers, New York. He began his career in the 1990s as a member of the rap trio The Lox, managed by Ruff Ryders and signed with Bad Boy.

Jason Terrance Phillips, better known by his stage name Jadakiss, is an American rapper from Yonkers, New York. He began his career in the 1990s as a member of the hip-hop trio The LOX, alongside Styles P and Sheek Louch, gaining prominence under Bad Boy Records and Ruff Ryders Entertainment. Widely regarded as one of the genre's most technically skilled lyricists, he launched a successful solo career in 2001 with his gold-certified debut album Kiss Tha Game Goodbye, followed by the Billboard 200 chart-topping album Kiss of Death in 2004, which featured his highest-charting protest single "Why?". His subsequent critically acclaimed solo releases include The Last Kiss, Top 5 Dead or Alive, and Ignatius.
