Italian romantic balladeer Drupi, born Giam Piero Anelli in Pavia, gained fame with "Vado Via," which hit No. 17 in the UK in 1974. He won the San Remo Festival, drew inspiration from the Beatles, and performed with the Magnets before solo hits "Rimani" and "Piccola e Fragile."
